As previously advised, IMB Bank co-branded Westpac cheques are no longer valid, as of 1 June 2021.
Unfortunately, there have been some last-minute delays in issuing the replacement ANZ co-branded cheques. These should be in the hands of members by June 7 at the latest.
In the meantime, here are some alternative solutions as the chequebooks arrive.
Do not pay with a co-branded Westpac cheque
If you still have Westpac co-branded cheques, please do not use these as a method of payment – they will not be honoured. Instead destroy these by cutting up the chequebook.
There are more convenient ways to pay
You have a range of safe, secure, and convenient ways you can pay someone instead of using cheques, including:
- Our Internet Banking or Mobile Banking App – anytime, anywhere
- Real-time Osko® payments to pay, or be paid in seconds – available 24 hours a day
- A direct debit or direct credit
- Your IMB Visa card, which you can also link to your preferred digital wallet so you can make payments with your phone, watch or another digital device.
Have you been paid with a Westpac co-branded IMB cheque that has not been presented?
If you have an IMB cheque that is co-branded with Westpac Bank and the cheque was not banked before 31 May 2021, you will need to contact us so we can find the best solution for you.
Here is how:
- Visit an IMB Bank branch with proof of the cheque or dishonour; or
- Call our team on 133 462, Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. You can also send them a secure email through Internet Banking.
