The Spirit of Community

Being an active supporter of the communities that we call home and the people who live in them is a serious commitment for IMB Bank. It has been since our establishment in 1880.

This support formalised in 1999 with the establishment of the IMB Bank Community Foundation. The Foundation strives to engage and connect with our communities through volunteer organisations, not-for-profit groups and charities, funding projects that help create more liveable communities and better outcomes for the people living in them. Working together, we can help the places we call home thrive.

Since 1999, we have donated over $10million to more than 750 projects, providing meaningful and grassroots changes that address vital and diverse needs in the communities. We are very committed to the projects we support and have seen first-hand the difference they make to many people.

A thermal imaging camera has enabled The Farmborough Heights Rural Fire Brigade’s volunteer members to fully interpret a fire scene providing accurate situational awareness both day and night. It also assists in search-and-rescue operations at any time and in any light conditions.

Giralang/Kaleen Men's Shed

The Giralang/Kaleen Men's Shed offers all men access to a range of activities including a woodworking workshop, garden, physical activity such as walking, and social interaction. The ICF grant has provided members with first aid training to support shed members when needed.

Girl Guides Association of NSW

Building on a century of adventure, fun and friendship, Girl Guides empowers girls and young women to grow into confident, self-respecting, responsible community members.
