Following the retirement of long-standing IMB director Mr George Edgar, IMB is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Noel Cornish as a non-executive director to the Board of IMB and its subsidiaries. 

Mr Cornish is currently the Chief Executive Australian and New Zealand Steel Manufacturing Businesses of BlueScope Steel Limited, with responsibility to lead the company's major facilities at Port Kembla and Springhill (NSW), Western Port (Vic) and the paint lines, Western Sydney (NSW) and Acacia Ridge (Qld) in Australia and the New Zealand Steel & Pacific Islands businesses headquarters in Glenbrook, south of Auckland. He also leads BlueScope’s Engineering and Environment functions.

Mr Cornish is a member of the Council of University of Wollongong, Chairman of The Salvation Army Illawarra Advisory Board, member of the Board of the Illawarra Business Chamber and a member of the National Executive of the Australian Industry Group.

He was previously the Chairman of Hunter United Employees’ Credit Union. 

The Board welcomes his depth of management expertise, local knowledge and prior Board experience and looks forward to his valuable contribution as a director of IMB.
