IMB Bank takes the health and safety of our members, employees and the broader community seriously.

Given the continuing risks and uncertainty faced as a result of COVID-19, we have made the decision to hold a virtual meeting for the 2020 IMB Bank Annual General Meeting which will be held on Monday, 9 November 2020.

This means that this year there will not be a physical meeting at a venue in Wollongong, and instead all IMB Bank members (including Hunter United division members) will be able to participate in the meeting by way of online facilities.

Due to the unique nature of the coronavirus pandemic and the ever-evolving circumstances, it is very difficult to predict what Government advice on social distancing and restrictions on gatherings will be in place at the time of our AGM.  We believe a virtual AGM provides the safest and the most reasonable opportunity for all members to participate in the 2020 AGM regardless of their location.

Our decision is in line with the guidance and regulatory relief that regulators have provided to enable companies to hold their AGMs most effectively in these unprecedented circumstances.

How we will provide information relating to the 2020 Annual General Meeting

Consistent with the relief provided by the Commonwealth Treasurer and temporary amendments to the Corporations Act in response COVID-19, this year IMB Bank will not be mailing members a hard copy Notice of Meeting.

Instead, members that have opted-in to receive meeting information, will receive an email or letter which provides them with instructions as to how they can vote, submit questions and access their Notice of Meeting online from IMB’s website.

We encourage all members who haven’t already done so to provide us with an up-to-date email address so that they can most easily access all meeting related information. Members can provide their email address and opt-in to receive meeting information by calling us IMB on 133 462 or visiting any IMB or Hunter United division branch.

What to expect for the virtual Annual General Meeting

Members will be able to view a live online webcast of the meeting and submit questions and vote on resolutions in real-time or in advance of the meeting.

We will share full instructions to guide members through the online meeting registration and participation process closer to the day of the meeting.

Sincerely,

Robert Ryan
Chief Executive Officer
